Project Summary

The Warrior Fitness Center at Nellis Air Force Base project, built for Water Resources Consultants, included the new construction of a 111,253-military fitness center located in Las Vegas, NV. The facility houses the Air Force Base's main squadron physical fitness training facility. The military fitness center was constructed utilizing Low-E Aragon gas glazing for to reduce sun exposure, low maintenance materials, and exterior metal and terra cotta coverings. The project also featured the installation of a lighting control system for waste energy consumption, a fuel-efficient heating ventilation and air conditioning system for an indoor pool, indoor sports courts for racquetball, basketball, and volleyball, indoor one eighth mile running track, locker rooms with saunas and individual showers, and massage rooms. This project achieved Silver Certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design from the U.S. Green Building Council for surpassing requirements for governmental construction. Due to CORE's sustainable construction practices, the Warrior Fitness Center at Nellis Air Force Base provides a state-of-the-art training and fitness facility to airmen and their families.
