The LSU Human Development Center project, built for the State of Louisiana Facility Planning and Control, included the new construction of a four story 115,083 square foot educational building located on the Louisiana State University's campus in New Orleans, LA. The facility houses the University Centers of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Education, Research and Service Department for the Campus Health Sciences complex. The educational building was constructed on a slab-on-grade concrete foundation with a concrete structural frame. A precast and curtainwall exterior and lightweight insulating roof completed the construction. The project also featured medical offices, library and laboratories. Due CORE's experience with constructing higher educational buildings, the LSU Human Development Center now provides collegiate interdisciplinary education, research, and community services to downtown New Orleans.
