The Janie Barron Campus Renovation at Palmer Elementary School project, built for Palmer Independent School District, included the new construction of a 65,000 square foot elementary school located in Palmer, TX. The facility supports 397 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 4th grade. The elementary school was constructed utilizing a structural concrete slab foundation with an insulating concrete form and concrete masonry unit block structural frame. An exterior of masonry and stone and a built-up standing seam roof completed the construction. The project also features three classroom wings, one of which contains a tornado shelter, a centralized administration area, a gymnasium, multiuse cafeteria with a performance stage, and kitchen. Due to CORE's project management scheduling and coordination, the Palmer Elementary School, Janie Barron Campus Renovation project opened in time for the school year.
