Howard Health Sciences Renovation and Addition

North Las Vegas, NV

Client: College of Southern Nevada

Architect: Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects

Project Summary

The Howard Health Sciences Renovation and Addition project, built for the College of Southern Nevada, included the renovation and addition of a two story 25,990 square foot health educational building located on the Charleston Campus in Las Vegas, NV. The facility houses the Department of Dental Sciences, Diagnostic Evaluation and Rehabilitation Services under the School of Health Sciences and supports the Ophthalmic, Physical Therapy, and Dental programs provided by the Dental Faculty Practice and Mojave Mental Health Services. The health educational building was constructed on a slab on grade concrete foundation with a steel and masonry frame. An exterior finish consisting of masonry, storefront, and metal panels with a 60-millimeter single ply roof completed the construction. The project also featured instructional classrooms and laboratories. Due to CORE's project scheduling, the Howard Health Sciences Renovation and Addition project was completed with minimal interference to student instruction on an active college campus.
