The Elko Conference Center project, built for Government Facilities Development Services, included the new construction of a one story 28,500 square foot municipal conference center located in Elko, NV. The facility sits adjacent to the Elko Convention Center and Visitor's Authority and houses four meeting rooms and a large exhibit area for over 800 people. The municipal conference center was constructed of a slab on grade foundation with a steel and masonry frame. Stucco, painted masonry, and glass comprised the exterior, and a single ply roof completed the construction as well as earth tone carpeting, storefront windows, and brick pavers at three entrances. The project also featured a spacious lobby area for luncheons, a ballroom with folding walls for subdividing into three large rooms and four smaller rooms each, four folding classrooms to seat 30 people, and restrooms. Due to CORE's efficient construction practices, the Elko Conference Center project provides a flexible venue for mine training, local events, and weddings.
