Courthouse and Administration Building

Battle Mountain, NV

Client: Lander County

Architect: Van Woert Bigotti

Project Summary

The Courthouse and Administration Building project, built for Lander County, included the new construction of a 59,021-square foot municipal judicial facility located in Battle Mountain, NV. The facility supports the offices of the County Commissioner, District Attorney, Public Defender, and Juvenile Office and houses the Eleventh Judicial District Court and Argenta Justice Court. The judicial facility was constructed of a steel structural frame on a spread and pier foundation, concrete masonry unit exterior skin, and single ply roof system. The project also featured a law library, secure holding cells, and transportation areas as well as a 4,000-square foot basement for additional storage space and a 100-kilowatt solar parking structure. Due to CORE's attention to quality, the Courthouse and Administration project provided greater accessibility to the administration of justice to the residents of Lander County.
