LINDEN — Timber Mesa Fire & Medical District Deputy Chief Randy Chevalier welcomed a small yet enthusiastic crowd during the groundbreaking ceremony June 23 at the construction site for the new Timber Mesa Fire Department Station No. 17.
Chevalier opened with some history of the station, noting that it was originally built in 1984 on property donated by the Perkins family.
“This new facility will bring the town of Linden great pride,” he said. He also recognized how, “CORE Construction has been an all-star team which started with the demolition of of the old station earlier in the week.”
