BLOOMINGTON — Less than a month after the Chicago Bears completed their second-biggest single-season turnaround since 1970, the team’s head coach was announced as the headliner for this spring’s American Red Cross Evening of Stars gala.

American Red Cross Central and Southern Illinois said Thursday that Matt Nagy will be the featured speaker at the 2019 event that will be at 6 p.m. April 18 at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in uptown Normal.

“We’re thrilled to have Matt Nagy as our guest for the 26th Annual Evening of Stars,” the event co-chair, Kyle Ham, said in a statement. Ham, vice president of client services for CORE Construction, is co-chair with his wife, Amanda Ham, a nurse at the Center for Outpatient Medicine.
